THE JOEY DUNLOP INJURED RIDERS FUND COMMITTEE

Last week saw the inaugural Committee meeting of “The Joey Dunlop Injured Riders Fund”.

The objective of our fund Committee, is to raise enough money to build accommodation for injured rider as near to the Isle of Man Grandstand as possible. We also aim to build a platform lift to enable the wheelchair bound to have access at the Grandstand and be able to watch the Isle of Man’s road races.

If the lodge is built, we would like to rent out the accommodation to other disabled people for the rest of the year when the road races are not being held. The accommodation would be named “The Joey Dunlop Lodge for Injured Riders” and the lift going up to the Grandstand would be named, “The Joey Dunlop Lift”. Mrs. Linda Dunlop has kindly give her blessing for the establishment of our fund and what its objectives are, and Linda will be informed of our progress on a regular basis.

During the year 2001 etc, the Committee will be holding many functions and we would hope that everyone will come along and support us. Donations can also be made to the fund throughout the year and these will be gratefully received. Any donations should be addressed to the Treasurer of the Committee as follows:-
