R.I.P.
AUGUST - DECEMBER 2000
It is with a lump in my throat that I regretfully announce that RACE is closed for business from today onwards until further notice. It has been a great time, and we never in our wildest dreams thought the site would cause so much interest in such a short space of time. Over 15,000 hits to the front page alone in the short time RACE has been in existence is a fantastic achievement we are very proud of.
However, all is not lost, both myself, Stuie and as many of our contributors as possible have moved to work on an exciting new web site based on the Isle of Man TT Races called TT Website.com. Please follow the link and pay us a visit. You will hopefully be happy with the result.
As far as this site goes, It will be left on line in it's present format for archive purposes. Please note that most of the pictures in the galleries are for sale and please contact myself should you be interested in purchasing any of them from the originators. Also, the site and it's 'Brand' are for sale should anyone be interested taking over from us. I personally think RACE has a very good name and reputation, and I would be pleased to hand it over to the right person, although please note some of the content, particularly the pictures may not be allowed to be used by others.
I hope you enjoyed it whilst it lasted and I hope you will show the same kind of support in our new venture. And finally a very big thank you from both myself and Stuie goes to all our contributors. Without you we would have only had half a site.
Cheers
Paul
PS I would like to thank as many of our regulars on the forum as I can think of. Please forgive me if I missed you out...

This is your chance to buy a life size print of Joey Dunlop taken at this years Isle of Man TT. The picture was taken by arguably the Island's leading bike sport photographer, David Collister and is a limited edition of 2000. The cost is £10 and all proceeds go to the Injured Riders Fund. For further details of how to order this exclusive poster please contact Colin Moore at f.c.moore@talk21.com WELCOME Welcome to RACE, a Web Site for anyone interested in Motor Cycles and Motor Cycle Sport. We hope that RACE will become one of your favorite bike sport sites over time and we encourage you to contribute to the content. Any budding photographers and journalists amongst you might like to show off your work on this site. If you have any bike sport related events you would like to promote, we welcome you to use RACE. We aim to cover Road and Track Racing plus some Off Road action for good measure. The articles featured will be from as many different Motor Cycle racing 'scenes' as possible. Our interviews will range from Top professional riders to clubmen at the start of their careers. Our Race Reports will range from The Isle of Man TT to a local Moto Cross Meeting. Being based in the Isle of Man, we will feature a lot of the Racing that takes place locally, but contributions from anyone else on ANY event or rider will be considered for inclusion. |
